A busy first week home...

We have had a fun and busy week with Spencer home. We were able to go to the Point Defiance Zoo on Thursday, Friday we at lunch on the waterfront, visited Pike's Place Market and also got to visit the Experience Music Project and rode the monorail. Saturday we went to lunch and the Movies, where we all got to see Despicable Me.  Sunday Spencer and Dallin spoke in church, and then we had an open house for Spencer that was well attended.  Monday Spencer went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with his dad and stepmom then we all went to play laser tag.
Spencer is getting back into the swing of things...he has had his first doctor's appointment for his diabetes, and his first dental appointment.  He has gone to a weekly institute class for church, and had friends over for the last two nights just to hang out.  He is going on a double date tonight and possibly another one tomorrow night.  He is applying to reenter college, and is adjusting very well.  He and Faith are getting along great. They already have a wonderful bond and Spencer thinks she is such a joy, and spoiled. :)

Faith and Dallin playing with water balloons...

Dallin got a hold of some water balloons today. Faith got completely wet, and she could not stop laughing at Dallin when he would pop a balloon on his body. Check out the video.

Two years ago today we said Farewell...

I had forgotten about the video we took when we were dropping off Spencer to the Missionary Training Center in Provo Utah...this is when he officially got his missionary tag and I was privilaged to put it on him for the first time. Looking at this today, I realize how nervous and anxious he seemed...in a few days he will be home; A changed and confident man. I am so proud he was willing to go into the unknown and trust in the Lord! We have all been so blessed since this day two long years ago.

Happy 3rd Birthday Faith!

For Faith's birthday photos I decided to go on a little photo shoot down at our local park. It was a spur of the moment decision because the sun was out...which is a rare sighting this year. I just love how they turned out. Isn't she beautiful!!!!

Her birthday and her 6 month Gotcha anniversary are only a few days apart. It is hard to believe she has only been with our family 6 months...it seems like we have always had each other. Faith has made remarkable progress since that day in January. I would say she is completely bonded with our family...at night she sleeps in the middle of Jeff and I and will put out her little arms and grab our heads in them and say, " SiSi's mama and SiSi's baba"...translated to " My mommy and My daddy". Her favorite color is green. She loves chocolate and sweetish fish. She loves the movie Nemo. She loves shopping, and new outfits. We could sit and cuddle for hours, and we do. She loves it when we wrap her in a blanket and will say she is a baby and then she will say ,"Hold you" when she wants us to hold her. We of course can't resist. I would say the biggest surprise is our 15 year old son Jensen...he is absolutely smitten with her, and when mom or dad tell her no...she will find Jensen and he always caves...thus the chocolate fetish. It has been a joy to watch this sweet little spirit learn, adjust and finally flourish right before our eyes, also a joy to watch our other children love, protect and nurture her. What a blessing! The next chapter will be our entire family together for the first time on July 21st. That is when our oldest son returns home from his 2 year church mission...I can hardly wait! We love you Faith and are so happy you are part of our family! More pictures of her party today to come!
