More Jensen memories~

18 years ago today I went to the OB for a routine checkup. I ended up heading straight to the hospital because my little Jensen's heartbeat was in trouble. The date ~ Friday the 13th. I labored all day long and at about 11:45 pm at night they said I was close. I really, really, really didn't want Jensen's birthday to be on Friday the 13th...so I stopped pushing. Jensen was officially born at 12:04am on Saturday the 14th and I was elated! It's been so long ago (18 years), that the memory of that day is fading. I wanted to write it down here so that it will be recorded for him. I will never forget how nervous I was heading to the hospital, calling Jeff to meet me there; not knowing how the labor would turn out. It was a scary mommy moment. He was just a sweet baby, and it has been so fun to watch him grow up. He is an adult! What an amazing journey parenthood is :)

Jensen this week ~

Jensen tonight!  I have been asking him for weeks how he would like to celebrate his birthday!  He didn't want to do anything and for a gift he wanted 20 boxes of Boo Berry Cereal and Frankenberry Cereal.  Seriously this kid is so easy to please!  We are so lucky!  We took him out to our traditional mexican dinner for his birthday.  They called him Poncho~ caught him laughing at that here.

Happy Birthday Jensen~

It's a big weekend for Jensen, he turned in his application to become an Eagle Scout, and he is turning 18!  Here is one of his senior pictures.  Jensen is my quiet unassuming child who never wants his pictures taken.   He finally caved in when we explained that it was for mama and not him, the only condition was that we don't post on Facebook.  Well after he saw the pictures he said it was ok if I put a few on there.  We are so proud of him and the wonderful person he is.  He is a wonderful big brother to Faith and is very nurturing.  For his Eagle Project he organized a local "Walk the Wall" where he raised over $2500.00 for the non profit group International China Concern.  Here are a few pictures of his project!   I am so excited to see what other contributions he makes to society as he continues to grow and progress.  We love you J!

Another Degree~

Kylee's associates degree finally came in the mail, and she was home for the weekend from college!  Awesome timing!  Congrats Kylee!  She is loving school and enjoying her courses.  She attended a pre-med meeting last week and they are already setting up a schedule to volunteer at the local hospital for rounds.  So proud of her and who she is!
