Homecoming 2007

Well, now I have two children attending school dances. Today Kylee and I spent the day getting her hair ,nails and makeup done. We had so much fun! Kylee is not 16, which is the age to date, but she wanted to go with some girlfriends to the dance, and I thought, what the heck, high school is so fun and only lasts 4 years, I am going to let her play dress up as many times as she wants too... so I was her date along with her friends mom Linda, and we had a great time. Spencer also went to the dance with his girlfriend Teiha, they looked so great! They went out to eat at Black Angus and we went to Panera Bread. Kylee's friends are Stephanie and Sarah. I am at home now waiting to pick them up from the dance at midnight. She is so darn cute. She spent all day getting ready and I don't think there are going to be any boys at the dance without dates. Every boy I talked to that is Kylee's age said and I quote, " there is no way I am spending all that money on a tux and going to the dance when I don't have a date and I don't know how to dance." So, Kylee is prepared to make the best of it and dance with her friends all night... to be continued

Another teenager in the house!

OK, so Jensen turned 13 over the weekend. For his birthday he wanted a sleepover xbox party. He has also been playing football, so after his football game, we got pizza and had all the boys over and our house was loud!!! I can't believe 3 of our 4 children are teenagers!!! Also, I have noticed that this is the age where the boys want to be a little mischievous. Rather than having them sneak out on their own, and I not knowing where they are, I decided to be an accomplice. We ended up toilet papering another boys house that the kids don't get along with. After we went tp'ing the boys were happy to just hang out at the house and eat themselves silly while gaming all night and playing on the trampoline. Here are some pics...

October 1st, 2007

Last week was not as busy as the week before. Jensen had a good week. In football he accepted a challenge from the coach when the players were asked, " who thinks they can run the fastest on this team?" Jensen raised his hand and ran against another boy on the team that is on 1st string. Jensen won 2 out of 3 times. So he was moved to a different position and up to second and first string. Go Jensen!!! He played his first time against other teams on Thursday and he caught an interception. That was fun!
Dallin had a soccer game on Saturday and scored a goal, and Kylee and I spent all Saturday looking for the perfect Homecoming dance dress. We stood in line at the mall in one store to try on a dress for 40 minutes. There were about 30 girls in front of us. Then she ended up not getting any of the dresses she tried on! I will take a picture and post. She is going with a group of friends in a limo for Homecoming. Spencer is taking Teiha so I am sure he will keep a good eye on Kylee. Spencer also started college last Monday and it juggling a busy schedule. He is going to work full time during the day and taking early morning and night classes at the college. So far he is doing well and enjoying the time off he does get. He is really managing his time well. He went and bought a planner so he can keep track of everything. Good training for his mission. Jeff and I managed to squeeze in a date night, and Sunday we went to church and just relaxed. So it is Monday, and my back is finally normal!!! I went to exercise this morning and it felt soooo good!!
